13th Consecutive Chambers Ranking for Boardside Founder

The unique style and expertise of Boardside founder Richard Port has been recognised for the 13th consecutive year in a glowing endorsement by renowned legal guide Chambers UK.

Richard is ranked as a leader in the field of employment law in the 2023 Chambers Guide, with specific mention of his approachability and passion.

The ranking praises Richard as someone who is “approachable at all times and builds good rapport with his clients.” It goes on to describe him as “an utter professional who is deeply knowledgeable in his field of employment law and brings his passion to his dealings with clients.”

Richard founded Boardside in 2017 to provide strategic employment law advice to boards and those who sit on them. He is known for his genuine interest in client  businesses, markets and people strategies.

Chambers UK is a respected publication that draws on independent research to rank lawyers in all fields of law. Richard is listed as one of the top employment specialists in the Yorkshire: North and East region, although his client base is nationwide.

Commenting on the ranking, Richard said: “A ranking by Chambers is significant because of the independence of the research and the extent of due diligence involved in gathering genuine feedback from peers and clients. I am grateful to everyone who has endorsed my expertise and my approach to this year’s researchers.

“Boardside prides itself on delivering a highly tailored service, based on a deep understanding of the particular issues involved. Furthermore, we deliver above and beyond the technical legal aspects of a situation by looking at the whole picture to see where strategic changes can create positive impact on culture, talent retention and workplace wellbeing.

“I am proud to have advised on some highly prominent cases with outcomes that have national significance and to be working with some of the UK’s most ambitious and forward-thinking businesses in terms of culture and engagement.”
